By registration for membership of the marine recruitment career portal (the web site), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not accept or understand all of our terms, then you should not register to use this service.

By registering for membership you agree that you will only use the site to look for work for yourself and that you will not use it for any non-personal or commercial purposes.

You confirm that you will act in a professional manner towards us and any companies that you deal with via the web site and that you will keep strictly confidential all information that is made available to you via your personal home page.

Registration for membership:

Free membership is available to maritime personnel, ashore or afloat, graduates with a relevant degree, job seekers with transferable skills and people interested in training for a career at sea, subject to the following conditions.

• You are 16 years old or over.
• You will register your own details and enter complete, accurate and up to date information on the form provided.
• You will use an e-mail address that belongs to you personally.
• You will not create a false identity or provide inaccurate information about yourself or your status to mislead others or gain access to restricted information.
• You will not pay another person or organisation, including your agents, to register for membership on your behalf or to manage your job search once it is activated.
• You will not use your membership for any non-personal or commercial purposes. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

1. Sourcing vacancy information on behalf of another person or organisation
2. Posting or redistributing, any content or vacancy details on another web site, publication or information service.

Membership

Once you have completed the registration process to our satisfaction, we will issue you with a password to log on to your personal member's area.

• You agree that you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your logon details and agree to notify us immediately, if you believe that someone else has obtained access to your logon details.
• You accept responsibility for any activities carried out under your membership account, whether or not it was authorised by you.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any errors in the information entered by you at the time of registration.
• You agree to maintain the accuracy of your contact details and e-mail address and to update them, as necessary, before applying for any vacancies posted on the site.
• You agree to keep us advised of any change in your status that may create a conflict of interests in respect of your status as a job seeker.

Job Search Profile

You agree that your job search profile will match the positions that you are qualified to apply for and accept that this is necessary in order to maintain the accuracy of statistical data made available to clients concerning the potential number of applicants for the position they have to fill.

Career profile

You agree to complete all sections that are relevant to you and that the information concerning your qualifications, certification and professional experience is complete, accurate and up to date.

You agree to review and update your profile and availability date(s) as necessary to maintain the accuracy of information concerning your experience and the validity of your qualifications and certificates.

You agree that we will send you e-mails to remind you to logon and update your availability, once your availability date is 1 month old and accept that this is necessary to ensure the reliability of information on the current availability of personnel for specific roles.

You agree that if you advertise your availability to registered companies by posting a career profile in the searchable skills directory, that you will hide it from a search during periods when you are at sea or are otherwise unavailable.

Vacancies

You agree that we do not guarantee the accuracy of information posted by companies advertising jobs on the web site or act as agents between you and any companies that you apply to.

You agree that it is for you to determine how to proceed in respect of any introductions facilitated via the web site and to conduct all reasonable checks before entering into any employment contracts.

You agree that you will only apply for vacancies where you can show evidence of the qualifications and experience required and that you will not make speculative applications for other non-advertised positions.

You agree that you will provide accurate responses to any information that you are asked to confirm during the application process and to notify us immediately of any errors.

You agree to withdraw any applications that you have in progress if you are no longer able to proceed for any reason.

Re-registration

Once your membership has been activated you will be allocated a unique User ID and it is a strict requirement that if you wish to re-register for membership at any time after your initial registration that you will notify us of your earlier registration so that we can reallocate your original User ID.

Copyright, Trademark and Intellectual Property Rights

All contents of this Web Site, including any software, are protected by copyright, database right and other intellectual property rights. Logo's and company names featuring in the Web Site may be the trademarks of their respective owners.

You may not store or reproduce any part of the Web Site in any form unless we agree in writing in advance, except as necessary to use the Web Site in accordance with these terms.
